Hickory Valley Farm Restaurant Reviews

Great place for breakfast! Service is super friendly and quick! Wish we were in town longer to come back for lunch—next time!

Absolutely love placing like this! Very rustic and quiet and an absolutely delicious breakfast. We had smokehouse sampler and homemade corned beef hash and pumpkin pancakes and everything was phenomenal. We were lucky enough to have Mable as our server. She was so kind and so helpful. What a wonderful breakfast experience!

This place is cash only. That helps keep the food pretty cheap. The big old meat platter I got was only 15 bucks! The decor is cute and kitchy. They don’t have much in the way of a “store”. They sell some maple syrup, mugs and candy, but the staff is really friendly.

Interesting restaurant. Kind of a throwback to places I ate at as a teenager on family outings in the 1970's. A real throw back (wood paneling everywhere), but in a good way as it is a family friendly atmosphere. Definitely funky. To go along with that funkiness is great food and attentive , pleasant staff. Nice that they have a kid's menu too. Ordered Eggs Benedict for myself and it was perfect. The home fries that came with it were some of the best I've had in a long time. In fact I would put it in the top ten of all time. Pretty special. My son, grandson and wife all had a pulled pork sandwich. What's with them all ordering the same thing! Well, they're pulled pork lovers and they were not disappointed. They unanimously agreed it was excellent. Juicy and seasoned just right. I sampled a bite from my wife's sandwich and had to agree. Melted in your mouth. The only disappointment were the fries that came with the sandwich. My grandson barely touched his fries and I asked him why. He said they weren't that great. I sampled a few and he was right. Bland tasting. Wife described them as mediocre. So break out the salt/ketchup or try and substitute for another side. Have to say though the way the pulled pork tasted made up for the lackluster fries. Two quirky things about the place though. All our dishes came in frying pans instead of dishes. A little cumbersome to position your meal on the table, but still a nice little quirk that was fun. The other quirk is make sure you have enough cash with you. It's cash only and there are signs all over the place letting you know this, so it's not a surprise. Big sign on the entranceway door spelling it out for you. Not a problem for us, but something you need to be aware of. There is an ATM inside, however, if you are short on cash. Nice place which I would give it 4.5 stars, however Google doesn't have that option, so rounded it up to 5 stars. Not the fanciest of places, but great for a family dining out.

Please excuse the condition of this meal. It was placed in front of a hungry man, lol. This place is a chill and cozy restaurant with a unique decor set up. Parking can be limited when it’s really busy. Be prepared to wait if you have a party of 4 people. Restaurant has a good menu selection. I ended up ordering the sampler & pancakes. It came with 3 pancakes and a variety of meat selection which were all delicious. The pancakes were really good; flavorful, soft, and fluffy. They are not oversized as stated. I’ve had bigger pancakes from other restaurants at stated the same thing. The french toast looked good as well. Staff were really friendly as well. Definitely recommend this spot. This will be my go to spot whenever I’m in the area.

The best corned beef hash I ever had. The food was delicious. The place is really cute and very clean. My husband and I loved it.

We were staying at Great Wolf Lodge and looking for a local breakfast place and came upon this one. The atmosphere is cozy and country and reminiscent of simpler days. It is clean and staff friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and reasonably priced in our current economic climate. Would definitely come again and recommend! Family friendly. One thing to know - it’s cash only. ATM on-site.
